The company was founded in 2005 by two vibrant and successful women, Michelle Romero and Annette Cavaness, in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2004, Romero thought of an idea to change the outside of a handbag, without physically changing the bag itself. She created a prototype by taking apart her own bag and revamping it using super glue and scrap fabric, and thus MICHE was born!
The name of the company came from Michelle's nickname, MICHE (pronounced MEE-chee), which her mother-in-law calls her.
MICHE grew internationally and is highly desired all over the world. MICHE helped woman become independent and a salesforce to be reckoned with. Sadly, in March of 2016, MICHE closed their doors in the United States and sold their patents and trademarks. Despite the closing of MICHE USA, the MICHE Bag, shells and accessories remained in production through their former international partners, including MICHE Canada and MICHE Europe. With so many MICHE lovers out there, finding MICHE had become harder and harder to find in the US. In November 2016, Purse Schwag was created to form one goal, to keep MICHE alive! Purse Schwag helped former representatives sell their inventory through consignment and fulfill the love for MICHE customers throughout the United States. MICHE was also sold through Parsons Purses and various former representatives.
In April of 2021, Parsons Purses and Purse Schwag joined forces and acquired the MICHE patents and trademarks. The MICHE US patents and trademarks were purchased by four women, Angelique Parsons, Lindsey Stoecklein, Katherine Rogers and Tammy Thiel, all of whom were previously MICHE representatives.
In September 2021, MICHE was reborn as MICHE Lives! MICHE LLC is now located in the small town of Elizabeth, Colorado.
We chose to reopen MICHE due to our never-ending love for the MICHE Bag, its popularity throughout the US and our love of fashionable, simplisticity and the never-ending interchangeable handbag. The possibilities are endless! MICHE brought us together, enriched our lives and made us the hard-independent working women we are today.

Angelique Parsons
Angie is the mother of 2 boys and grandmother of 2 beautiful babies, her favorite people. Angie resides in Aurora, CO with her husband and mini schnauzer. Angie never gave up her hope and dreams for MICHE. The MICHE Hope line is extremely important to Angie. She is a mother of a son who has fought cancer twice and won. She is an accountant by trade and her passions are her MICHE, family and friends.
Lindsey Stoecklein
Lindsey is the proud mother of one son, married and resides in Elizabeth, CO. She runs a small 35 acre ranch with cows, ducks and over 50 chickens. She has two dogs, a cat, and a lizard. She is a paralegal by trade and is the owner of a notary business. Her passions are her MICHE, family, 4 wheeling and raising her chickens.
